An excursion to the town of Honfleur and its sweet harbourg, tasting Calvados and cider in the local apple and pear orchards, lunch by the sea in a restaurant, visit of Fécamp palace famous for his liqueur, and of course the second to no one Etretat's cliffs.
Region is famous for its sunny Atlantic beaches
Unusually picturesque port city of Honfleur
Tasting of cider an calvados and tasting of liqueur in a palace.
You will not remain indifferent
Welcome to Normandy, which is famous for its history, apple orchards, green meadows, magnificent dairy products, secluded provincial towns and fashionable resorts.
In addition, this region is famous for its sunny Atlantic beaches, cider and calvados made of 200 different varieties of apples that grow in the gardens of Normandy. The apples are a symbol of Calvados, a subject of pride and care. Calvados is not a cognac and not a liqueur. This is an apple vodka of 40 to 70 degrees, which was loved by many great people from Remarque to Hemingway, from Marlene Dietrich to Georges Simenon. Immediately from Paris, we will go straight to the apple orchards of Normandy to try and discover this popular Norman drink.
After the tasting, we will take you to the unusually picturesque port city of Honfleur. Here, inspired by colorful houses, came the famous landscape painters Claude Monet, Camille Corot and Georges Seurat. Honfleur, by right is considered one of the most vivid and beautiful cities of Normandy. We’ll walk along its narrow streets, admire the picturesque port with huge ships. There we will bring you to a restaurant for lunch to taste Norman delicacies.
Next on the program is a fairytale town -Etretat located on the banks of the English Channel, which attracted many artists like a magnet here, among them Claude Monet, Gustave Courbet, Eugene Boudin and other Impressionists. Pictures of these artists are exhibited in the Museum d’Orsay, in Paris.
Having been here, you will not remain indifferent. You will be in love with the glory of white steep cliffs and natural arches; of blue sea and it’s white waves and almost deserted beach.
After a walk along Etretat, we’ll take you into the second tasting to the palace of Benedictines. This palace is built in the style of eclecticism, where the Neo-Gothic, Neo-Renaissance and Art Nouveau styles are mixed. It contains Museum, Spice Hall, Liquor Factory. The Museum collected a big collection of art from the fourteenth and sixteenth centuries, the beginning of which was laid by Alexander Legrand, a Norman wine merchant, who was able to decode the manuscript hidden by the Benedictine monks with a liqueur recipe. Legrand has perfected the ancient recipe, having increased quantity of components of liqueur to 75. According to references, before monks used tincture only of 27 herbs. However, even today, the recipe for the liqueur “Benedictine” is kept secret. It is known that the composition of the liqueur includes juniper, saffron, arnica, lemon balm, tea, thyme, coriander, cloves, lemon, vanilla, orange peel, honey, cinnamon which infused on cognac. In the palace you will have a tasting of this historical liqueur, and also you have an excursion around the palace itself and its cellars.
Normandy is just a wonderful place to spend your holidays there, that’s why the French themselves choose Normandy for the weekend.
Here we offer you to enjoy the abundance of colors and the aroma of ripe apples; to feel a light breeze of the wind and to breathe the fresh sea air, walking along the azure coast, and to taste the famous liquor “Benediktin” and Calvados.

Very interesting tour and very well explained by a young guide and a nice little tasting of calvados and cider. I have never expected that calvados can be so different. I highly recommend!
